Yes, today is the tenth anniversary of 'last update of the home page of my site first!
Spaceballs: the site! <- this is my site here
I must say that I'm very proud! Spaceballs was one of my movie favorites as a child and with my cousin (yes .. you asshole too !) Titian we always enjoy watching it as much as we could and riguardalo. As soon as the technology has made it possible, we have connected the recorder to PC, to finally have on file the beats of our favorites !
The mp3 format had just been born, and was so popular that I had just preceded a nice "You do not know how to listen to MP3 files??" to a clearly visible link to winamp . It was really amazing to be able to put it all in a matter of quell'audio kb!
The graphics are really bad, especially because I stubbornly to write EVERYTHING with notepad. Yes, every single line, every single character of the site I typed with my fingers! I learned html thanks to this site and thanks to the very kind "Wolfgang", creator of the site on Frankenstein Jr. , who patiently gave me via e-mail of the straight when I had problems . (Clearly at night, in time slot at reduced rates with 28.8k. Recuperavo So then sleep at school .. hehe ..)
The funniest thing was the "form". Almost every day I received the contacts of compliments and suggestions. Obviously always edged coins from quotes and votes for the contest "vote for your favorite character" (whose results aggiornavo them by hand).
Then things in life have made me leave aside this project, but the good fortune to have placed everything on geocities ( as it was in 99 ), then bought by yahoo ( as it was in 99 ), has meant that my site is still there, alive and well (except for counters and form ..)!
Also my gem has been an inspiration to Gini that a few years ago did a superb job, creating its new website (spaceballs.it) dedicated to Spaceballs.
two techniques video that fascinate me a lot:
(The beautiful transmission Braniac , here in "things .. but very sloowly ..")
the stop motion:
Often when I'm writing projects for business or for pleasure, use a lot of paper to focus my ideas. I must say for the so-called "brainstorming" difficult to give up the good old notebook, but for the lay out of the project had been looking for some time software, of course, open source , suitable to my needs.
The project is still in its early versions, but the coaching staff is churning out a new version a month so I think that will soon reach maturity.
From the site you immediately notice that the creators want to give great prominence to the "multilanguage". Being Italian is not supported yet, I proposed as an official translator. And so, as Sockso , I was greeted with enthusiasm. Not that I'm a great translator, but since it is purely technical projects, I think I can do the same good work.
As I said, these projects I follow , both are open source so anyone who wanted to give any tips or advice on translations, it is always welcome.
I finally finished migrating to the new server!
the mascot of lephio.org (the cacchetta of arale!), as you can see from the photo above, he made the jump from the old server to the new server Flaming hp purchased SuperOffer what that months ago.
I will not describe all the technical characteristics of lephioweb2, but the leap from the poor K6-2 is at least embarrassing. Suffice it to say that half of the investment has gone virtually ram! (4GB). All web applications are already benificiando upgrade, but in addition to the blog itself, are especially ilforum and photo galleries to enjoy the increased performance. The latter, in fact, is finally navigable without waiting for photos to be uploaded.
From the software point of view, that I could not stay with a pure debian. I then installed a fresh Debian Etch, updated after a few seconds of indecision, the Sid repository.
And then .. I did not want him to do not just in the second year of life online .. :)
"You know when waiting to load the graphical login in linux you have the time to do the circles with the mouse?"
hehe .. I had never noticed .. raise your hand if you ever did! (Also applies to those who use mac or windows of course ..)
ok ok .. seems an insult, but it's a post dedicated to a software that I was very impressed.
is Sockso , a "Personal Music Server". It was really so I was looking for a program like this. In practice I can finally place ALL of my mp3 on a 'single computer and listen to them freely from anywhere that has an internet browser.
Great for those who have their own mp3 scattered among 3 or 4 computers in as many different places.
The shocking thing of Sockso however, is simplicity. A double click and you are already operational. On both Linux and Windows. (I think even on mac). Really a great job, though to be truly complete will need new features.
Do not spend other words. Just a screenshot of my jukebox and the link to the home page of the project.
