World Cup of Baseball: be in it!
The other day I thought .. but because instead of going to watch only one or two games of the world, I'm not going to experience them from * inside *? And so .. go! I sent the form to the volunteers for the IBAF World to be held in September here in Italy!
Sunday I went to the first meeting in Turin. There are some shows which will be the general organization and what are the tasks of the volunteers. Without going into details, we will be supporting the team (Manager, Team Coordinator, Player, etc. ..), the Officials (Referees, and Classficatori .. Vips!?) And also do some work 's office.
So .. I think it will be 10 days (or longer, if I can provide the availability for the final stage) amusing, during which I will try to give the widest possible coverage of the "backstage". Whether Play.it Radio and why not, maybe for Play.it TV!

W has finally arrived! and just in a tough game against the Alexandria Blue Sox. Difficult because the defections were at historic highs and we found ourselves in right field in nine people for not losing it at the table.

But perhaps for this reason we were able to give our all and especially to maintain a good concentration for the duration of the game (I would say that the lack of it is our worst fault).

Sunday a while we had hoped. I had also decided not to take the field, being finally covered the "hole" the catcher in order to better manage the game. Except that there is always something that goes wrong .. this team is struggling to be born.
Certainly I have my responsibilities in some cases really exaggerating, but sometimes I wonder why it is so difficult to find a harmony between people who like to play baseball.

It takes strength to play baseball.
but not (only) physical. it takes strength and passion to go through the ups and downs of the nine innings. to lose, win, then lose again. be yourself, be a team. sometimes being alone, unfortunately, even when all around you there are people.
this sport is a bastard, why not give you many opportunities. when the opportunity comes, that is. Who knows what passes in the next. but when you make it, what satisfaction.
when they can not do it, but frustration. but you have to be strong, because the next time you have to be there. to try again. be strong not only be good and do good or the socket. be strong is to go out again or make another mistake. accept the frustration and still be there after.
say that 'unity is strength, and I am more than convinced. the hardest thing, before the technique and fitness, is a team. not created from scratch in two minutes, especially when there are people on the same field with reality, characters, cultures, backgrounds and experiences very different.
This year our challenge is to create something. if we'll make it .. everything will be fine!

Yes, because in this offseason (I have not spoken publicly for various reasons that I am not to list) I tried to put together a new team from Genoa to the Serie C2.
