April 2009, Minnesota Twins Report

taken from the inspiration I wrote a long post in our forum on playitusa.com , I did that already .. I put it here too! :)

twinsterritory
The Twins closed April with a nice palindrome: 11-11. The records are quite happy .. I usually a hot start cools toward the end of season, but starting with a record low just breaks! : D

The starters are malino parties. the surprise of last year is now sold out and we now expect all (themselves first?) to confirm the numbers last year. We hope that the departures last week are indicative of a recovery.

The bullpen is quite revolutionized. is not so strong as in previous years. Pat will miss this season and is already in DL Crain. Nathan himself has already blown a save. Anyway I am confident in pitching staff Gardy, who has always been up to.

With regard to the position players was immediately felt the lack of Mauer. Fortunately the great Morales has shown that it can be a great offensive catcher (.349/.391/.419), but all-tell-everyone is just waiting for the return of Joey. (Tonight?) (Nb. excellent test of Morales did think Gardy keep three catchers on the roster for a while .. but reading that Red Dog has hurt his shoulder a bit, I expect / hope in a DL to make room the young Morales)

The real surprise-April is confirmation of Denard Span. We finally have a leadoff! It takes a lot of launches, high OBP (391) and steals (5-0)! Strangely, it also has a lot of RBI. (Clutch?: Naughty:)

Morneau and Kubel is confermamo clubs stronger Twins: 9 HR and 34 RBI combined. Right behind Joe Crede could see that he has done ("if he stays healty") to be part of a good slugging-core lineup.

The middle infielders are started very bad, especially last year, but that Casilla had proved sound. Fortunately, their defense is really good, but the club have just 25 combined sound of AB 126. Probabilente will be the hot Brendan Harris to take advantage of the situation, with some excellent sports game played in less strip .350/.372/.475. And 'nell'infield likely to see the "usual" rotation "to Ronnie."

And speaking of rotation, we see that what happened in 'outfield, where earlier in the season Gardy said "I will rotate between the 4 seats 5 external (3OF DH +) available in the lineup. Despite this, the fourth seems torn between Gomez why and Young Span, Kubel and Cuddyer have played almost every game. But if the first two are going great, Michael is having a little difficulty to the plate and could be a bit "risky." But I do not think he will lose many AB thanks to his famous double bass braccione holding their opponents. (and then one of the pillars of the Twins).

What about Gomez and Young? The first is really frustrated .. fails to carburetor and being a "hothead" does not focus his problems (he's already gone a couple of times to talk with our manager to discuss this aspect). From her tell him that he is young and has to work because his speed is a weapon that should be exploited. I do a little holiday in Rochester to work in peace on these things I would do it to him.

And Young? Young! Delmon! For the first time I struggle to see a Twin! His defense peeeessimaaaa makes me close my eyes on every batted ball on the LF. What to do? Well .. we do, we must keep him and give him the space to do the numbers, so tradarlo soon as possible! But at least let's put in the DH spot, so no damage with the glove!

The last look at the legendary Brian Buscher: after a spring training by fear, unfortunately, did not have enough space to show he can do well. Being able to play only in the third and first two of these roles and being firmly in the hands of Justin and John.

If I could say something to cite this quote (thanks Tix) by Constantine:

"You can not sit on the bench if not are you ready to play the game!"

maybe, for once, in Italian yields more:

".. What is it to stay on the bench if not then you're ready to go?"

Go Twins! : GoGoGo:
