Sockso that you want?
ok ok .. seems an insult, but is a post dedicated to software that really struck me.
it is Sockso , a "Personal Music Server". It was really that I was looking for a program like this. In practice I can finally place ALL my mp3s on a 'single computer and listen freely from any location that has an internet browser.
Great for those who have their mp3 spread between 3 or 4 computers in many different places.
The shocking thing is the simplicity of Sockso though. A double click and you are already operating. Both on linux than on windows. (I think even on mac). Truly a great job, although to be truly complete will need new features.
