ok ok .. seems an insult, is a post dedicated to software that has impressed me a lot.
it is socks, a "Personal Music Server". It was really so I was looking for a program like this. In practice I can finally settle all my mp3 on a 'single PC and listen freely from any location that has an Internet browser.
Fantastic for those who have their MP3 spread between 3 or 4 computers in many different places.
The shocking thing of Socks, however, is simplicity. A double click and you are already operational. Both on Linux than on windows. (I think even on mac). Truly a great job, although to be truly comprehensive system will need new features.
Do not spend another way. Just a screenshot of my jukebox and the link to the homepage of the project.
